MNIMH-registered herbalists like Garreth Falls have completed a full degree-level qualification in herbal medicine and are bound by a professional code of ethics. They take a holistic approach, treating the whole person rather than just individual symptoms.

Some herbal medicines can interact with pharmaceutical drugs, which is why it is important to consult with a qualified Medical Herbalist before starting any herbal treatment. Garreth Falls is trained to assess herb-drug interactions and will always review your current medications as part of the consultation process to ensure your safety.

Does The Wild Sage offer online consultations?

Yes. The Wild Sage offers herbal consultations via video call and phone as well as in-person at our clinic in Greyabbey, Co. Down. Online consultations are available to clients throughout the UK and Ireland.

What does MNIMH registration mean?

MNIMH stands for Member of the National Institute of Medical Herbalists — the UK's oldest and leading professional body for medical herbalists, established in 1864. MNIMH registration requires completion of a degree-level qualification in herbal medicine, including training in pharmacology, clinical diagnosis, and herb-drug interactions. Members are bound by a strict code of ethics and professional conduct, and must maintain their practice through continuing professional development.

Garreth is one of the only qualified, registered medical herbalists in Northern Ireland who also runs an apothecary and teaches at degree level.
